Lighting Designer

A lighting designer since 2006 Illia started doing shows in college eventually moving back to the Bay Area in 2009 to pursue grad school with a focus on theatrical lighting. Since then she has designed lights in a range of venues even touring to the east coast and China. She has designed lights for straight plays, dance and even a few musicals. Some of her favorite designs have been: References to Salvador Dali Make Me Hot (SFSU 2012), James and the Giant Peach (Bay Area Children’s Theatre 2014), Six Degrees of Separation (Custom Made Theatre Company 2016), and Time Sensitive (Ragged Wing Ensemble 2019).
